FOR WHOM?
Anyone who would like to apply to the Fashion Design program. No previous experience is required.
AIM
The aim of the three-week course is to develop a professional fashion portfolio. With this fashion portfolio you can apply to all fashion schools in Germany and abroad. Each participant works at a different pace, so the number of finished pieces at the end of the course may vary.
WHY WITH ABOUT:FASHION?
Due to our teaching activities at various fashion schools throughout Germany, we have internal insights into their admission and examination procedures. From this knowledge we have developed a successful concept, which we pass on to you in our portfolio course. Since we are not bound to any fashion school, we advise you independently which fashion school is best suited for you.
The portfolio course is led by successful fashion designers with national and international experience. One-on-one meetings are held to guarantee the best possible results. Presentations of work will be done in a group setting.

CONTENT & PROCESS
Under our professional guidance, you will create an individual fashion portfolio expressing your creative skills and personal signature. In addition, we will prepare you for the aptitude test during the course. We show you creative techniques from your fashion design studies and your profession - so you work like a professional and are always one step ahead of your competitors. You'll experiment with different drawing techniques, media, and materials so that your fashion portfolio has a wide range.
The following topics are covered in the portfolio course:
Research & ideation, fashion drawing & fashion illustration, portrait drawing, target group analysis, color theory, mood board, color & fabric concept, textile lore, textile illustration, textile design, trends, styling, photography, drawing, hand and machine sewing, theoretical expertise, first-hand information. On request we will send you a detailed program.
Before the course we will send you a list of materials. With the help of this list you can check which materials you are still missing and get them yourself before the course starts. You can use the materials later in your studies.
